Eye and Lip Peel

Formulated with a combination of Lactic Acid and Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), the Eye and Lip Peel helps to increase skin firmness around the eyes and lips. It can improve the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles, decrease the appearance of dark spots and dark circles and improve skin texture and tone. Lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) exfoliates the surface of the skin and stimulates natural collagen production. TCA is often used as a facial peel agent to treat hyperpigmentation and fine wrinkles. The combination of the two products allows for smoother appearing skin with a more even skin tone. The best results are obtained with 3 to 6 treatments performed approximately 2 weeks apart.

If you have any of the following skin issues, you may be a good candidate for the Eye and Lip peel:

:: fine lines around your eyes that crinkle when you smile

:: dark spots or dark circles under your eyes

:: fine lines around your mouth

:: lip borders that you would like to see more defined

Office procedure: You will be asked to remove any makeup from your eyes and lips and the areas to be treated will be cleansed with a preparatory solution. One layer of peel solution will then be applied to each area for 1 to 3 minutes. Up to 4 layers may be applied. You may feel a mild tingling or heat sensation during your treatment. After the desired layers are applied, the treatment will be completed by soothing the skin with a neutralizing agent.

What to expect with treatment: Immediately after your peel, your skin may sting but the stinging sensation will subside within a few hours. The treated areas may be slightly red, and this will fade within a few days. Your skin may feel dry and tight after your peel – we recommend that you use a good moisturizer to help keep your skin hydrated. You may experience some flaking or peeling.
