Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation increases the size of your lips, making them fuller and helping to soften the lines around the mouth. Enhancement is usually done using hyaluronic acid injectable fillers. We use both Restylane® and Juvéderm® brand products.

:: For a moderate increase in lip fullness with a natural appearance, we use Restylane® or Juvéderm Ultra®.

:: A plumper, fuller appearance to your lips can be obtained with Juvéderm Ultra Plus® or Restylane Kysse®.

:: To fill your lips more subtly or for treatment of vertical lip lines, Restylane Silk® or Juvéderm Volbella® are most commonly used.

:: Enhancing the shape of your lips and providing more structure can be done with any of these fillers, and we will determine which filler will work best to obtain the look you desire.

The degree of augmentation can be adjusted by the amount of filler that is used. Treatment is temporary and usually lasts 6 months to one year.

Numbing cream is applied to the areas to be treated for local anesthesia. When treating the lips to achieve more fullness, we use a blunt cannula which helps to significantly reduce swelling and bruising. With this method there is often very little to no downtime.

For vertical lip lines, a tiny needle is used to accurately place filler into each individual crease. Swelling and bruising with this method usually subside within a week.

Lip augmentation with injectable filler produces fuller appearing lips and smoother lines which gives your face an overall more youthful appearance.
